From 8 to 14 July Art Nouveau Week brings to Friuli Venezia Giulia a week of itineraries, events and activities dedicated to Art Nouveau, where the floral style meets Central European culture Central European culture, the cafés, the ports and the cities on the border.

The programme offers a variety of walks led by qualified and specialised guides in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia to exploring the multifaceted architecture of the early 20th century.

Vom 9. bis zum 18. Festil – Summer Festival on the Coast

Sigrifido Ranucci – Diary of a trapeze artist Tuesday 7 July – 9.00 pm In this programme, Ranucci presents a secret side to Sigfrido, running parallel to the one we are used to seeing on screen, who, in order to carry out his investigations, had to make decisions – sometimes in a matter of seconds – that would shape his life forever. Castle of Prampero
The castle, situated to the west of the village of Magnano in Riviera, has very ancient origins. According to scholars, as early as late antiquity, there was a watchtower guarding the important road leading from Aquileia to Noricum, beyond the Alps. The first document dating from 1225 records the transfer of the fief from the lords of Pramperg to their noble relatives in Gemona, who took their surname from the fief they resided in, thus becoming the Prampero family. It was inhabited by the descendants of the same family until the 1976 earthquake. It is currently open to visitors as part of the exhibition “Afro at Prampero Castle. The Atelier Del Silenzio (1961–1976)”. A journey through the deep connection between Afro Basaldella, Prampero Castle and the Friuli region, recreating the atmosphere of summers spent amidst painting, friendships, affection and artistic exploration. A narrative that reveals to the public the most intimate and authentic side of the Master. Treno storico Folkest
Treno storico da Trieste a Gemona del Friuli con destinazione San Daniele del Friuli in occasione della manifestazione Folkest, international folk music festival, per un viaggio tra le musiche e le culture del mondo con concerti dal vivo di artisti italiani e internazionali, atmosfere festive e incontri culturali. Il percorso di visita conduce i passeggeri tra le vie del centro storico, il “Duomo di San Michele Arcangelo” e la “Chiesa di Sant’Antonio Abate” famosa per i suoi affreschi di Martino da Udine meglio conosciuto come Pellegrino da S. Daniele. E’ straordinariamente aperta per l’occasione la prestigiosa Biblioteca Guarneriana.
