From 2 July to 26 September, artists and companies from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and artistic styles come together to create a festival that focuses on connection, dialogue and the power of live performance.

From Udine to Trieste, from Gradisca d’Isonzo to Duino Aurisina, a programme that continues to forge links between places, people and communities through theatre, dance and contemporary performance.

Art Nouveau Week
The Central European Liberty in Udine. Vom 9. bis zum 18. Castle of Prampero
The castle, situated to the west of the village of Magnano in Riviera, has very ancient origins. According to scholars, as early as late antiquity, there was a watchtower guarding the important road leading from Aquileia to Noricum, beyond the Alps. The first document dating from 1225 records the transfer of the fief from the lords of Pramperg to their noble relatives in Gemona, who took their surname from the fief they resided in, thus becoming the Prampero family. It was inhabited by the descendants of the same family until the 1976 earthquake. It is currently open to visitors as part of the exhibition “Afro at Prampero Castle. The Atelier Del Silenzio (1961–1976)”. A journey through the deep connection between Afro Basaldella, Prampero Castle and the Friuli region, recreating the atmosphere of summers spent amidst painting, friendships, affection and artistic exploration. A narrative that reveals to the public the most intimate and authentic side of the Master. Treno storico Folkest
Treno storico da Trieste a Gemona del Friuli con destinazione San Daniele del Friuli in occasione della manifestazione Folkest, international folk music festival, per un viaggio tra le musiche e le culture del mondo con concerti dal vivo di artisti italiani e internazionali, atmosfere festive e incontri culturali. Il percorso di visita conduce i passeggeri tra le vie del centro storico, il “Duomo di San Michele Arcangelo” e la “Chiesa di Sant’Antonio Abate” famosa per i suoi affreschi di Martino da Udine meglio conosciuto come Pellegrino da S. Daniele. E’ straordinariamente aperta per l’occasione la prestigiosa Biblioteca Guarneriana.
