Programme of the event

The Doge Manin Garden reopens its gates on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September for the 23rd edition of the historic event dedicated to plants and crafts.
A special occasion to be captivated by the beauty of plants, meet craftspeople and nursery owners, and take part in activities to discover the villa, its grounds and its many facets: workshops, entertainment, cultural events and guided tours, all part of a packed programme designed for the whole family, combining nature, art, culture and history.

Admission to the event at the event in the Park of Villa Manin €3 (free for children under 16 years of age, people with disabilities and those accompanying them).

10 routes on foot or by bike, suitable for everyone, to discover unspoilt landscapes and splendid stately homes, fortified houses and castles in the provinces of Udine and Gorizia.

Sunday 30 August: a visit toVilla Orgnani Linda in Pagnacco.

The programme includes a sightseeing cycle tour with cycling guide Tomaso Tomè, a tour of the historic house with the owners Giorgio and Francesca Linda, and a tasting of local produce.

In Udine on Saturday 29 August in the courtyard of Palazzo Morpurgo, at 10 Via Savorgnana, a performance dedicated to Frida Kahlo, a figure of the Mexican Revolution.

The show traces the life of the Mexican painter, her own journey as an artist and politician, her struggles, her encounters with artists and intellectuals of the twentieth century – from Tina Modotti to Trotsky, from Bretton to Picasso and to the circle of Mexican muralists , right up to her turbulent and passionate relationship with Diego Rivera.
